Neura Robotics and HD Hyundai have teamed up to develop humanoid robots for the shipbuilding industry. This collaboration aims to address labor shortages and improve efficiency on shipyards. The robots will be designed to assist with tasks like lifting heavy materials, welding, and painting, reducing risks for human workers and increasing productivity.  Initial focus will be on automating repetitive and physically demanding jobs currently performed by human employees.

The partnership leverages Neura Robotics' advanced humanoid robot platform and HD Hyundai's expertise in shipbuilding and manufacturing.  The robots are being developed with a strong emphasis on safety and ease of use.  HD Hyundai plans to integrate the robots into its shipbuilding processes starting in 2025, with ongoing development and expansion of applications planned for the future.  This initiative represents a significant step towards integrating robotics into traditional industries to enhance operational capabilities and address workforce challenges.
